Challenge :: The leadership at the CVB wanted to move from their existing logo (KJA developed this mark more than a decade earlier), to a design which more readily conveyed the area's geographic location within the state. They asked us to communicate "The heart of Louisiana" with the design of this new logo.
Solution :: The goal of the KJA team was to achieve the Bureau's request, but in a way that kept overt sentimentalism and Valentine inferences to a minimum. Using the heart as an abstract connector between the two cities worked both visually and metaphorically. This arrangement also kept the city names in the critical place of prominence.
