Challenge :: The City asked KJA to design a logo for their new "Que'in on the Red" barbecue festival. This new event, taking place on the levee of the Red River,  would be part of the bigger Memphis Barbecque Network of competitive festivals.

Solution :: The resulting logo design combined a subtle representation of a pig (pork is the main competition category) with open flames and smoke within the Que'in portion of the festival name. KJA's design approach allowed the viewer to easily know what to expect from the event, despite a possible lack of familiarity with the word itself.
