Client :: Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce
Industry :: Government, Economic Development
Challenge :: Develop a website for The Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce to provide information for the general public and serve as a resource for local business leaders as well as site selectors interested in the region. Some of the information included in the site would be the same content utilized in other "sister" sites. The Chamber was looking for an “enter once,” use in multiple situations solution.
Solution :: The site was designed to allow quick access to the other two economic development entities for the region via the tabbed navigation across the top portion of the screen. A robust business directory was custom programmed utilizing an xml data source from the Chamber of Commerce's in-house software. This would allow the Chamber to enter data only once, but use it for multiple purposes. Content Management System modules were also developed allowing statistical data to be entered in one location and then have it consumed by all three sites. This reduced maintenance time as well as insured consistency across all 3 sites.
